From reflection to resilience—climbing higher through the power of journaling.

Why the After Journal?

When we reflect on where we have been, we understand where to go next.

Authentic reflection nurtures resilience, compassion, and community.

The first writing journal in the After Journal series supports those bereaved by suicide.

My Journey & Thought Climber

I discovered the transformative power of journaling unexpectedly in the quiet moments of reflection. After losing my mother to suicide, I turned to writing as a lifeline—an intimate space where grief slowly gave way to clarity and strength. That personal journey inspired me to found Thought Climber and design the After Journal, a tool I once wished for during my own darkest days.

Over time, the After Journal has evolved to support thousands facing the pain of loss, and during the pandemic, I had the honour of crafting a journal for those grieving Covid-19 losses. Alongside journaling, I found resilience in endurance swimming—experiencing setbacks, record-breaking swims, and the profound lessons each stroke taught me. Each step, both in the water and on the page, has helped me climb toward healing and growth.

I invite you to join me on this journey. Explore our thoughtfully crafted journals, listen to my interviews on overcoming grief and embracing endurance, and become part of a community that finds strength in shared stories. Together, we can climb higher—one page, one stroke at a time.
